Unkonventionelle Soundsynthese: "MetaSynth 5" ist da

U&I Software - Urheber von ziemlich unkonventionellen Kreativ-Tools wie "ArtMatic", "ArtMatic Voyager" oder "VTrack" (allesamt für MacOS X) - hat sein Musik-Synthese und -Filter-Tool "MetaSynth" komplett überarbeitet. "MetaSynth 5" ist ab sofort als Universal Binary kompatibel mit "Leopard" (MacOS X 10.5) und kann Sounds mit bis zu 32-Bit-Auflösung speichern.

So beschreibt der Hersteller seine Musik-Software: "Electronic music and sound design software that re-invents synthesis and filtering. A powerful new way of looking at music. A fast and flexible graphic sound design and synthesis environment used by many leading musicians, composers, and sound designers. Winner of numerous prestigious awards."

Preise und Verfügbarkeit

Die neue Version für Mac OS X (ab Version 10.4) ist ab sofort verfügbar und kostet 599 US-Dollar; das Upgrade von Version kostet 99 US-Dollar.

Auch eine kostenlose Demo-Version der Software kann von der Web-Site des Herstellers herunter geladen werden (www.metasynth.com/ DEMOS/ MS5DEMO.dmg; 160 MB inkl. Demo-Projekten und Dokumentation).

Die Web-Site wird laut U&I-Mitbegründer Eric Spiegel demnächst aktualisiert.
