Webgestütztes MySQL-Datenbankmanagement: "phpMyAdmin 3.0" ist da

"phpMyAdmin", die PHP-basierte Open-Source-Web-Verwaltungssoftware für MySQL, ist jetzt in Version 3.0.0 erschienen. Das Major Update unterstützt neue Funktionen, die das noch nicht als GA-Release veröffentlichte MySQL 5.1 mitbringt, unter anderem die Unterstützung der MySQL-Storage-Engines "PBXT" und "Maria" sowie die hardwarebasierte Authentifizierung mittels "SweKey".

Die Macher zu "phpMyAdmin" (englisch): "phpMyAdmin is a tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the Web. Currently it can create and drop databases, create/drop/alter tables, delete/edit/add fields, execute any SQL statement, manage keys on fields, manage privileges,export data into various formats and is available in 55 languages.

phpMyAdmin 3.0.0 supports various features of MySQL 5.1 and the Maria and PBXT storage engines. The 3.0 series requires PHP 5.2+ and MySQL 5.0+."

Die Software phpMyAdmin ist auch weiterhin Open Source und kann unter phpmyadmin.net heruntergeladen werden.
