Komponieren und Improvisieren: "Band in a Box 2008" ist da

Jedes Jahr pünktlich zu Weihnachten ist mit einer neuen Version seiner "Intelligent Music Accompanyment" Software "Band in a Box" zu rechnen. So auch dieses Jahr. Mach ReadDrums gibt es jetzt mit "RealPedalSteel", "RealSax" (Tenor) und "RealAcousticGuitar" weitere RealTracks-Instrumente. Daneben wurden die Stile erheblich aufgebohrt und können jetzt wesentlich mehr Varianten bieten. Ein "Medley Maker" erlaubt die Generierung von Medleys auf Songs und MIDI-Tracks.

In announcing the release of Band-in-a-Box 2008, program author and creator Peter Gannon said, “Following the successful introduction of RealDrums with Band-in-a-Box 2007, we've had an exciting time adding live RealTracks instruments for the release of Band-in-a-Box 2008. This new version is loaded with other great new features too, like MultiStyles and a Medley Maker, and, as always, we've done our best to include our customers' wish list requests. The result is more than fifty new features for Band-in-a-Box 2008. We think it's the most fun ever."

RealTracks are audio instruments that replace the MIDI track with actual recordings of top studio musicians. These are not samples of single instrument hits; they are full recordings, from 1 to 8 bars in length, playing along in perfect sync with the other Band-in-a-Box tracks. The following RealTracks come with Band-in-a-Box 2008 – RealPedalSteel, RealSax (Tenor), and RealAcousticGuitar – with more on the way. Band-in-a-Box MultiStyles can have up to 24 substyle variations - from “a” to “x” - in a song. The newest styles sets are MultiStyles, typically with 4 substyles per song (Intro or Pre-Verse, Verse, Chorus, and Break) and users can easily make their own. The Medley Maker quickly makes a medley of Band-in-a-Box songs, including automatically generated transition bars and chords between the songs to smooth out the modulations between styles, tempos, and keys. Other new features include an enhanced Audio Chord Wizard, updated GUI, support for key signature changes, Karaoke CDG support and many more.
